Lower Merion School District New Listing Tour

In the middle of a new home search in and around the Lower Merion School District? Checking out the open houses this weekend?  Get a head start by seeing what Cindy saw earlier in the week. Every week she tours new listings in Lower Merion, Narberth, and the surrounding communities, and puts her notes together here. Cindy's tour started in the wonderful College Park neighborhood, a few blocks from the Bala elementary and middle schools. This 2804 sq ft, 4 bed/2.1 bath split-level stone colonial, listed for $549K.  The 1/4  acre+ lot has a great back yard, with a nice, stone patio, with a natural gas grill line built in. Also in Bala's College Park neighborhood, was this 2318 sq ft, 4 bed/2.1 bath stone colonial, listed for $550K. You can't get much closer to the elementary and middle school than this one. The eat-in kitchen has hardwood floors, black granite counters, with white cabinets and appliances. Also in Bala, in the Academyville neighborhood, was this 2482 sq ft, 5 bed 3.1 bath, listed for $659K. This one has two beds and a bath on the third floor that might make great private teen space. The first floor has nice hardwoods and some convenient living room built-ins. Out back is a big wooden deck with ceiling fans. The next neighborhood over is called Merion Park for its proximity to General Wayne Park.  That's where Cindy toured this 2810 sq ft, 5 bed/2.1 bath stone and brick colonial, listed for $775K. The potential 5th bedroom is now set up as a third-floor office, with built in shelving.  It has plenty of closet space, but there's no bathroom on that level. The big, half-acre lot has a big deck out back, attached to an enclosed porch.  The dining room has crown molding and built in cabinets. The kitchen and baths are all updated. Next up on Cindy's tour were a couple of homes in Bryn Mawr, starting with this 3998 sq ft, 4 bed/3.1 bath colonial, listed for $950K. It sits on a 1/3 acre landscaped lot, with a couple of decks and a two-car garage,  in the quiet Fox Fields neighborhood. It has a big modern, open kitchen with granite and stainless, a fireplace, and cathedral ceilings.
