Lower Merion Public Middle Schools
The Lower Merion School District has two middle schools that serve families residing in Lower Merion Township and Narberth. Students attend middle school from 6th through 8th grade.
Each middle school has a designated attendance area, which can be seen on the district's middle school boundaries map. Eligibility is determined by street address rather than by zip code or town. Students who attended Cynwyd, Merion and Penn Wynne Elementary Schools will attend Bala Cynwyd Middle School. Students who attended Belmont Hills, Gladwyne and Penn Valley Elementary Schools will attend Welsh Valley Middle School. The district's transportation department determines the correct attendance area for addresses adjacent to school boundary lines. Any questions regarding the exact location of school boundary lines should be sent to the transportation department (transportation@lmsd.org).
School registration is by appointment only and must be made in person; proof of residency within the school district is required. For information about registering your child for school, and links to registration forms, visit the Lower Merion School District's registration page at lmsd.org.
