Lower Merion Public High Schools
The Lower Merion School District has two public high schools that serve families residing in Lower Merion Township and Narberth. Students attend high school from 9th through 12th grade.
Each high school has a designated attendance area, which can be seen on the district's high school boundaries map. Generally, students who attend Bala Cynwyd Middle School will attend Lower Merion High School. However, because certain high school programs are only available at Harriton High School, students who reside in the Lower Merion High School attendance area may alternatively choose to attend Harriton to participate in this programming. Conversely, with limited exception, students who attend Welsh Valley Middle School will attend Harriton High School and may not choose to attend Lower Merion. The exception to this rule is that incoming freshmen who attended Welsh Valley but live within a designated choice zone can choose to attend either Lower Merion or Harriton. The district's transportation department determines the correct attendance area for addresses adjacent to school boundary lines. Any questions regarding the exact location of high school boundary lines should be sent to the transportation department ([email protected]).
School registration is by appointment only and must be made in person; proof of residency within the school district is required. For information about registering your child for school, and links to registration forms, visit the Lower Merion School District's registration page at lmsd.org.
