Valentine's Day is a great opportunity to support some of your favorite local businesses. Make a reservation now at that restaurant you love (or always wanted to try) before it gets sold out. Look for ways to buy from your local independent stores before you turn to Amazon and 1-800 Flowers! Here are a few ideas to get you started. We’ll keep adding to this list as we find more. Want to cater some or all of your Thanksgiving feast this year? We've assembled some of the local options for you in the following list. We'll add more as we find them, but feel free to comment at the end if you have any more suggestions - or just email Ed here, and he'll add them as he can. Carlino's Market - Ardmore Always a solid choice, this neighborhood staple offers turkey and all the sides a la carte, so you can choose exactly what you need. Order online here by November 15. Sontuosa BYOB, Bryn Mawr This Bryn Mawr restaurant lets you specifically order for any number of diners and pay per person. Turkey is the main course, but you choose the starters, sides and dessert. Stop in, or call 484-222-6216 and leave a message to order, no later than November 19. Manny’s Place - Bala Cynwyd Bala’s Manny’s Place is offering tons of options in their Thanksgiving catering menu, with both traditional Thanksgiving dishes and a number of Jewish deli options. Want to order a turkey and a brisket, with sides of mashed potatoes and matzo ball soup? Manny’s is your place! Use this order form before November 18th. Di Bruno Bros. - Ardmore It's great having an outpost of this South Philly favorite right in Suburban Square. Order from their holiday menu by November 15, using this online order form. McCaffrey's Food Markets - Gladwyne This highly anticipated market finally opened in Gladwyne at the site of the old Acme, that was previously a Superfresh, and an A&P before that. Their Thanksgiving menu has a variety of complete dinners and a la carte options. Order here by November 19. Mom's Organic Market - Bryn Mawr The next best thing to Mom's house is Mom's in Bryn Mawr! If you're looking for an organic or free range turkey, or you're looking to serve guests with mains, sides and desserts that are vegetarian and/or vegan - this place has everything you'll need. See their Thanksgiving menu here. McShea's Catering - Ardmore Looks like our good friend John McShea is offering an 18-20 lb boned, easy-carve turkey, plus sides, for $195. Or by emailing [email protected] by November 19. Savona - Gulph Mills Take Montgomery Ave out of Lower Merion, and you'll pass this classic restaurant on your way to the KOP mall. They have a ready-to-reheat Thanksgiving menu ready for your online order. Tank & Libby's - Drexel Hill Just down Rt 1 in Drexel Hill is Tank & Libby’s. Thanksgiving menu includes Herb Roasted Turkey Breast Brined and Hand Carved, plus their twist on most of the traditional sides. Get your holiday meal home-delivered by ordering online here. Personal Gourmet - Narberth Looking for quality meats that you cook yourself? This online business is opening a brick & mortar location in the old Village Treats location in downtown Narberth. Personal Gourmet offers fresh and frozen quality meats, fish, chicken, pork, veal, and lamb. They are accepting pre-orders for Thanksgiving turkeys, hors d’oeuvres and fresh, cut meats.
