Useful Trash & Recycling Info - and some local events
It can be hard to remember all the rules and important dates for local trash and recycling, so we try to keep all the info in one place here. If you've been waiting for Narberth's "Junk Week" or for an E-Cycle event, read on. We also included a couple of fun upcoming events.

E-Cycle Event for LM and NarberthThis June 6 "Anything with a Plug" E-Cycle event is exclusively for residents of LM and Narberth. You must register in advance here. There are charges for some things, like TVs and monitors, but see below for an offer from PECO to pay the fees for certain items. The Transfer Station is closed to all other refuse and recycling drop off. Only electronics recycling will be accepted.

​PECO Appliance Recycling Program
At the aforementioned e-cycle event, you will need to pay a fee to dispose of TVs and some other items. If you bring your PECO bill, PECO will cover the $10 fee for air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and mini-fridges.

​Narberth Spring Cleanup Week: June 1-5
Whether they call it "junk week" or "big trash week", Narbs get excited for this week-long event every year. First come the garage sales, then the curbside piles of stuff, and then the procession of neighbors to examine the treasures and rescue some of the choice items. Finally the Borough comes to take what's left! Details here

Memorial Day Parade - May 25
Locals will line the route and fill the downtown sidewalks for the annual Narberth Memorial Day Parade! If you want to get involved as a volunteer, or have your group march in the parade, or if you'd like to make a donation, see this message from the organizers:

Memorial Day Parade is coming up and we need the community's support!
We need several Parade Marshalls for the day of event!
Spaces are still available for organizations to march in the parade.
We still need to raise at least another $1000 to pay for the event.
My preference is for everyone to mail a check to the American Legion (address below) - but for those that don't use checks, you an Venmo me and I will write the check for you to the legion. (I don't use venmo for anything else and am happy to provide full transaction info).

Narberth Music & Arts Festival - June 7
The Narberth Music & Arts Festival is a day of free family fun right in downtown Narberth!
The Maker's Market features dozens of booths of artists and craftsmen on Forrest Avenue all afternoon. The music stage features free live music starting at 3pm. There will be street food and all your favorite beverages on Haverford Ave. The NarBark Dog Parade is at 1pm. Details here.

​Wednesday Night Concerts
Join your friends and neighbors in Narberth Park on Wednesday nights all summer long! Bring chairs, blankets, dinner, and your favorite beverage. Relax and listen while the kids play on the playground next door. Details here.
