Lower Merion and Narberth - Stuff you should know - March 2026

A few days of warm weather . . . 
Most of us have lived in Pennsylvania long enough to know about "False Spring" -  that handful of beautiful days that fool us into thinking the winter weather is done for good! The cold temps may return, but this week got us thinking about Spring events and Spring cleaning. Here are a few things for your calendar. If you just want to stay up with LM and Borough trash and recycling details, bookmark this page that we try to keep up to date. ​

Clean-up Weekends - Lower Merion
The Transfer Station is open to LM residents, 9am-4pm, on April 11-12, and April 25-26. Drop off your unwanted refuse and recyclables. Must show ID to prove LM residency. $20 charge per vehicle (New 2026 rule). Details here. 
Not open to Narberth residents - wait for a "junk week" announcement for 2026 Borough details.

​Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off
Narberth and Lower Merion residents can all take part in the annual MontCo hazardous waste drop-off events. The closest one in 2026 is at the Lower Merion Transfer Station on Sunday, October 11. Register in advance here. More details here.

​Leprechaun Hunt - March 14
The Great Narberth Leprechaun Hunt has been entertaining local kids since 2007. This Narberth Business Association event is free for kids of all ages. Bring the whole family to downtown Narberth on Saturday, March 14 from 1-4. Find all the leprechauns and come back to the tent for a prize! Details here.

​Easter Egg Hunt - March 28
Don't be late for this one, because the whole events just takes a few minutes! bring the kids to Narberth Park at 11am, Saturday March 28, to scramble around, grabbing as many toy-filled plastic eggs as they can! Details here.

​Narberth Business Breakfast Meeting
Narberth businesses are invited to a meeting at Borough Hall on Friday, March 13 at 8am. We'll have a conversation with Borough Manager Maggie Dobbs and the Narberth Borough staff. Bring your ideas and questions regarding issues affecting the Narberth business community. The NBA will provide bagels and coffee. RSVP here.
