Fall 2024 - Stuff to Know In Lower Merion & Narberth

Here are a few important local trash & recycling events happening in the next few weeks. After those, we've listed a couple of upcoming Fall events.

LM Fall Cleanup:  Oct 5-6
​LM residents: Dispose of your unwanted refuse and recyclables — household appliances, textiles, plastic, glass, newsprint, and plain old trash — without charge! Must have proof of LM residency. Volunteers will be collecting bikes, toys, clothes, and furniture to recycle. All details of this 2-day event here.

Narberth bulk item disposal
Narberth residents are not eligible for LM's fall cleanup event (and must pay a per-pound charge if they take items to LM's transfer station). The Borough does allow residents to dispose of one bulk item per week with the regular Tuesday trash collection. Details here.

Electronics Recycling:  Oct 12, 9-12pmAll Lower Merion and Narberth residents are invited to recycle their electronics at the Lower Merion Transfer Station. Note that there are some restrictions and flat fees for items like TVs, monitors, and air conditioners. Details here.

Hazardous Waste Collection: Oct 13 
​Registration is required for this hazardous waste drop-off event at the Lower Merion Transfer Station. All Lower Merion and Narberth residents can register here. Details here. ​

First Friday - Oct 4, 6-9pm
Narberth's First Friday is always a great time to catch up and have some fun with your friends and neighbors. Check out the dinner and drink specials, an art opening at Sweet Mabel, live music at the Greeks, house-made ice cream at the new Jeni's, and more! Details here. ​

Narberth Halloween Events
Kids in and around Narberth get a couple of extra chances to wear their Halloween costumes with two classic annual events - the Witches of Narberth, and the Narberth Halloween Parade. All Narberth event details here.

Narberth Scavenger Hunt - Nov 9
The kids can't have all the fun! This annual event, just for grownups, is a  great excuse to cut loose with some friends, chasing clues and performing silly tasks all around the Borough on a Fall Saturday night. Details here.
